Located on the west coast of Hawaii, the Honokohau Small Boat Harbor was Initiated in 1968. The Army Corps of Engineers used 293 tons of explosives to blast the harbor out of the hard basaltic lava. The harbor includes two basins with 262 moorings, 4 ramps, fuel facility and vessel wash down.
