Rainbow Falls Hilo

Rainbow Falls where more than 300 million gallons per day (average discharge) fall the 80 feet to the large pool below the falls. Hawaiian legends say that the cave beneath the waterfall was the home of Hina, mother of the demigod Maui. Rainbows can be seen in the mist at the bottom of the falls in the early morning.
