Ahuena Heiau Kailua-Kona

Ahuena Heiau seen across inlet at Boat Pier, Kailua Bay, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, State of Hawaii, USA. Ahuena Heiau was the site of King Kamehameha's royal residence from 1812 to his death in 1819. The Heiau has been restored with replicas of thatched temple structures and carved images. Ahuena Heiau is located on the grounds of King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel.
